I believe it's made out some sort of fruit. I did, however, think it was Brazilian. If I were to identify my country with a drink, that'd be port wine.

Awful stuff, but if you put these little white mountain flowers in it (not sure which herb they are), it's palatable.
Leave it in a jar with some sugar and cherries for 3 months and it's utterly gorgeous.
